SUMMARY:[WEBINAR] Infection-Associated Chronic Neuropsychiatric Impairments
DESCRIPTION:Infection-Associated Chronic Neuropsychiatric Impairments\nExploring infectious and immune drivers of chronic cognitive\, behavioural\, and psychiatric symptoms\nIn this AONM webinar\, psychiatrist Dr. Robert Bransfield explores how infections can contribute to chronic neuropsychiatric symptoms. He discusses how immune responses to pathogens can inflame the brain\, impair cognition\, and alter mood and behaviour. \nDr. Bransfield presents a multi-system disease model in which microbes such as Borrelia burgdorferi trigger neuroinflammation\, autoimmunity\, and lasting immune dysregulation. He examines how cumulative pathogen exposure may drive a spectrum of mental and behavioural disturbances. \nThe webinar also considers historical and modern infections\, emerging research on microbes and mental illness\, and potential societal impacts\, including rising psychiatric burden and instability following SARS-CoV-2. It emphasises the need for a medical approach that integrates psychiatry\, neurology\, immunology\, and infectious disease.

SUMMARY:[WEBINAR] A Unifying Model of M.E.: An Integrated Approach to a Complex Illness
DESCRIPTION:A Unifying Model of M.E.: An Integrated Approach to a Complex Illness\nPatrick Ussher\, who has recently written the book Understanding ME/CFS & Strategies for Healing\, was initially inspired by the paper written by Professors Scheibenbogen and Wirth: “A Unifying Hypothesis of the Pathophysiology of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS).” He will first outline why a unifying hypothesis is likely so crucial for clarifying the nature of ME/CFS\, an illness which has often been thought to involve a range of random problems but which\, according to this new German research\, actually involves a clear\, predictable pathophysiology comprised of many interlinking vicious cycles.  \nPatrick will then give an overview of the main components of the Wirth and Scheibenbogen model\, including: hypoperfusion\, low blood volume\, autoimmunity\, cellular and autonomic dysfunction\, and the precise reasons for post-exertional malaise.  \nWith this overview in place\, Professor Klaus Wirth will then build on the explanations of Patrick’s\, outlining his disease model in much greater detail\, including discussion of the therapeutic he is developing (www.mitodicure.com) which he hopes will become the first medication approved specifically for ME/CFS.  \nThis will be a fascinating insight into this devastating condition that truly provides a unified perspective\, unravelling many of its complexities. \nAbout Patrick Ussher\nPatrick Ussher is an author\, composer\, and ME/CFS advocate who has lived with the condition for seven years. His recent book\, Understanding ME/CFS & Strategies for Healing\, breaks down breakthrough research from Professors Wirth and Scheibenbogen for patient audiences\, and he shares insights on treatment strategies through his YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@me-cfs-strategiesforhealing) and writings for Health Rising. \nAbout Klaus Wirth\nProf. Dr. Klaus Wirth\, Medical Doctor\, PhD\, has served as Chief Scientific Officer and Managing Director of Mitodicure since 2022. He was previously Senior Researcher at Sanofi in Germany which he joined in 1984. Klaus worked as a pharmacologist in the fields of cardiovascular\, bradykinin antagonism\, cerebral blood flow\, stroke\, heart failure\, arrhythmias\, sodium-calcium exchanger NCX blockers\, endocrinology\, diabetes\, obstructive sleep apnea\, dysphagia\, and immunology. Approximately 70 patents are attributable to his work\, as well as five clinical developmental projects\, one of which Firazyr™\, a drug for the treatment of acute attacks of hereditary angioedema\, has reached the market. Klaus was co-founder of KOSA Pharma GmbH. He is adjunct professor at the Institute of Pharmacology at Goethe University Frankfurt\, Germany.

SUMMARY:Yes to Life Annual Conference 2026 - Online
DESCRIPTION:Reclaiming our True Nature \nWhat science is telling us about the impact of psychological\, emotional and spiritual factors on survivorship \nThis year’s conference focuses on the deeper forces at work affecting our overall longevity and\, therefore of great importance to anyone faced with a diagnosis of cancer. \nIt has now been recognised that although factors such as diet and exercise are crucial elements to any lifestyle recovery programme\, the effect of these will be seriously undermined if issues such as chronic stress\, unresolved trauma\, poor social connections and loneliness\, disconnection from nature and its rhythms\, or fundamental lack of purpose are not addressed. \nSpeakers will explore the science behind these findings and the available resources and support to embrace the changes required to reclaim our true nature.  \n  \n

SUMMARY:NMI Summit 2026: Longevity and Biological Ageing - Enhancing Health into Advanced Age
DESCRIPTION:Longevity and Biological Ageing: Enhancing Health into Advanced Age\nThe NMI Summit 2026: Longevity and Biological Ageing explores how precision nutrition and personalised lifestyle medicine can transform the way we age. This forward-thinking event focuses on optimising health\, preventing chronic disease\, and enabling individuals to live longer\, healthier\, and more resilient lives. \nWhile life expectancy continues to rise\, healthspan has not kept pace. Many individuals are experiencing declining functional capacity alongside increasing rates of chronic conditions such as osteoporosis\, cardiometabolic disease\, and dementia. \nHistorically\, age-related decline was viewed as inevitable. However\, emerging research and clinical interventions targeting the hallmarks of biological ageing are challenging this assumption. There is growing evidence that ageing processes can be slowed—and in some cases\, aspects of age-related disease can be prevented\, improved\, or even reversed. \nThis conference showcases the latest advances in biological age assessment and intervention\, highlighting how targeted nutrition and lifestyle strategies can positively influence metabolic health\, body composition\, vascular function\, immune resilience\, cognition\, mood\, and overall vitality. \nKey Themes Include:\n\nMolecular and physiological markers of ageing\nMeasurement of biological age\, including methylation and epigenetic clocks\nBiomarkers of functional capacity\, organ reserve\, and overall health status\nClinical interventions that support cellular health and modulate ageing pathways\nStrategies to delay ageing processes\, reduce disease risk\, and optimise long-term health\n\nPromoting healthy ageing through predictive\, preventative\, and personalised approaches is a growing priority in modern healthcare. The NMI Summit 2026 brings together leading experts at the forefront of longevity science\, providing practical insights and evidence-based strategies to support clinical practice and enhance both physical and mental wellbeing—now and into advanced age.
