KIWENO – KRYPTOPYRROLURIA (KPU)

Date: Wednesday 12th August 2026
Time: 6:00–7:00 PM BST

Please join us on Wednesday 12th August 2026 for our Comprehensive Laboratory Testing & Interpretation session for healthcare professionals, focusing on Kiweno, with a spotlight on Kryptopyrroluria (KPU) testing.

Kryptopyrroluria (KPU) is a metabolic condition in which elevated pyrroles are excreted in the urine during haemoglobin breakdown. These elevated pyrroles can bind to essential nutrients including zinc, vitamin B6 and biotin, potentially contributing to nutrient deficiencies. Understanding and identifying KPU can be an important part of an integrative approach, particularly for patients presenting with chronic infections, mood disorders or neurological symptoms.

These sessions aim to give healthcare professionals greater confidence in clinical decision-making by providing a thorough understanding of the testing process, including test selection and interpretation of results.

This free training is open to practitioners and healthcare professionals only.

SESSION STRUCTURE

  • Brief presentation by Gilian Crowther
  • Explanation of the testing process
  • Guidance on interpreting results within the context of clinical symptoms and patient history
  • Plenty of time for questions and discussion

If you would like to submit any questions in advance, please email contact@aonm.org.
