Fatty Acids: What to Eat, What Not to Eat—That Is the Question

With so much information surrounding dietary fats and fatty acid supplementation, knowing what to eat — and what not to eat — can be a complex question.

In this upcoming AONM webinar, Dr Patricia Kane, PhD, drawing upon 53 years of experience in scientific lipid research and clinical integrative, environmental and orthomolecular medicine, will explore the practical application of dietary and supplemental lipid intake.

The quality and quantity of lipids within the membrane leaflets surrounding our cells directly influence neurocognitive performance, hormonal balance, gene expression, mitochondrial respiration, toxin clearance, organ function, cellular restoration and longevity.

Through an examination of the medical literature, Dr Kane will bring clarity to the essential clinical question: What should we eat — and what should we not eat?

In this webinar, you’ll discover:

  • The importance of the quality and quantity of lipids within our cell membranes
  • How lipids influence neurocognitive performance, hormonal balance and gene expression
  • Their relationship with mitochondrial respiration, toxin clearance, organ function and cellular restoration
  • The practical application of dietary and supplemental lipid intake
  • How Membrane Precision Medicine can help bring greater clarity to fatty acid intake

Whether you’re a healthcare practitioner looking to deepen your understanding of fatty acids, or you’re interested in the research surrounding dietary and supplemental lipid intake, this webinar offers an opportunity to explore the medical literature and its practical clinical application.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Dr Patricia Kane, PhD has pioneered the clinical metabolic application of targeted bioactive and phospholipid therapy through university-based red cell fatty acid analysis to address neurological disorders in both adult and paediatric populations.

Her research over the past 50 years has expedited the incorporation of lipid bench science and lipid research directly into clinical practice to yield insight into the resolution of some of the most complex medical disorders of our time.

Dr Kane is also the author of Membrane Stabilization of Neuronal Function with Phospholipid & Bioactive Lipid Therapy in Neurometabolic Disorders.
